Just under the visible floor covering is a layer of closed-cell material, usually about 1/4- or 1/2-inch thick. It can be made of many different materials, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and neoprene rubber. The primary purposes of underlayment are to reduce sound transmission and help protect the flooring from moisture and hydrostatic pressure.
Floor moldings come in a variety of styles, sizes, and materials to suit different design preferences and needs. We offer five different profiles that include Quarter Round, End Cap, Reducer, T-Molding and Stairnose. The moldings are comprised of MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard) with a decor paper that perfectly matches our flooring products.
